Zarafa Offers Scalix Customers an Advantageous Cross Upgrade Package
Free migration tool available.

NETHERLANDS, January 12, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- From January 1st Zarafa, the leading European provider of open source groupware and collaboration software, is offering partners a free tool to migrate the complete data from a Scalix server to Zarafa. This enables Zarafa partners to migrate Scalix customers in a cost effective way to the Zarafa Collaboration Platform (ZCP). Additionally, all new Zarafa customers that have been using Scalix for at least six months in 2010 receive a special cross upgrade discount of 25% on the Zarafa list prices.

The migration tool imports emails, contacts, calendar and tasks directly. It automatically imports the data of a user, a department or a whole server.

Brian Joseph, CEO at Zarafa, explains: "In 2010 we have experienced that many Scalix partners changed to Zarafa. And now we see many Scalix customers checking non-Linux-alternatives because they do not trust the Scalix roadmap promises anymore. We have decided to help these customers to continue to use Linux."

Zarafa's cross upgrade offering is valid from January 1 to October 1, 2011.

Scalix customers will benefit from ZCP's fast WebAccess, the seamless integration with Active-Directory and OpenLDAP and Outlook 2010 support. Zarafa is known for optimal, easy and complete support of mobile devices like the iPhone, Windows Mobile, Android and BlackBerry.
